The Iroquois Braves lost against the Saegertown Panthers back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Iroquois was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Saegertown. Iroquois has not had much luck with Saegertown recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Orlando Brown, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Burroughs, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and seven blocks.
Iroquois now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Saegertown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Iroquois will be home for the holidays to greet Maplewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Maplewood is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Saegertown, they will head out on the road to face off against Conneaut Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
