The Sheldon Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Exeter Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheldon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Sheldon stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Chilhowee as Sheldon made off with a 60-38 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Sheldon has posted since December 7, 2023.
Sheldon found their leader in underclassman Aiden Bogart, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Bogart also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Aiden Ellifrits was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Exeter suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by McAuley Catholic on the road and fell 51-17. Exeter has struggled against McAuley Catholic recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Sheldon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Exeter, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Sheldon beat Exeter 56-46 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Sheldon repeat their success, or does Exeter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
