The Clay Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Wellston Golden Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clay is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 18-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Clay lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 65-37 loss at the hands of St. Joseph Central.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-33, which was the final score in Wellston's tilt against Nelsonville-York on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wellston in their matchups with Nelsonville-York: they've now lost five in a row.
Clay has not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Wellston, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
