The Mitchell Mountaineers won the last time they faced the Rosman Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Mitchell claimed a resounding 41-14 win over Rosman on the road. The result was nothing new for Mitchell, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Mitchell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylan Cooper led the charge by rushing for 52 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. Chase Duncan and his 91 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Mitchell's win.
Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Rosman, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
Mitchell will take on Avery County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rosman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
