The Peoria Notre Dame Irish are taking a road trip to take on the Rochester Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Peoria Notre Dame put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Urbana with a sharp 20-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Lexie Dallinger-Eaker made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three doubles, three RBI, and one triple while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Avery Ginglen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Tady, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Peoria Notre Dame kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Rochester entered their tilt with MacArthur on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Generals 22-1. Considering the Rockets have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Rochester pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Peoria Notre Dame, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.
Peoria Notre Dame suffered a grim 16-5 defeat to Rochester in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Irish avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
