 Madelynn (Maddie) Queen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Those  14  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Aiyanna (Yani) Espinosa and  Anais (Niecy) Reyna did most of the damage at the plate:  Espinosa  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances, while  Reyna  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more,  Espinosa posted two  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024.  Caitlyn Walker was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Hammond Bishop Noll  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .833. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .694 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
