White Pine is preparing for their first  league matchup of the season  on Friday. They will look to defend their home field  against the Lincoln County Lynx  at 11:00  a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lincoln County will be up against a hot White Pine  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went White Pine's way against Pahranagat Valley on Tuesday as White Pine made off with  a  20-2 win. The  contest marked the Bobcats' most dominant  victory of the  season so far.

 Tucker Maestes made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and four  runs. Those  four  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dylan Cessford, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and four  RBI. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  doubles (two).  Daniel Highline was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 White Pine was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .406. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Meanwhile, Lincoln County won against GV Christian  on Monday with 20  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Monday. Lincoln County put the hurt on GV Christian with a sharp  20-5 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Lynx in their matchups with the Guardians: they've now won five in a row.
 White Pine's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lincoln County,  the  victory  got them back to even at 4-4.
 White Pine came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln County in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024, sneaking past  12-10. Will White Pine repeat their success,  or does  Lincoln County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
