Meanwhile, Immanuel Christian stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 57-34 margin over Van Horn. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Immanuel Christian has posted since December 15, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immanuel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Perez, who scored 25 points along with six assists and two steals. Perez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Josiah Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Dallas Academy bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Immanuel Christian, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
Dallas Academy took a serious blow against Immanuel Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 63-13.
