The Riverton Parke Panthers's nine-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They took down Crawfordsville 35-21. The victory was just what Riverton Parke needed coming off of a 60-31 loss in their prior contest.
Leading Riverton Parke to victory were Haylee Mathas and Kenzie Nowicki. Mathas scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Nowicki scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mathas has scored at least 25% of Riverton Parke's points. Another player making a difference was Jaylynn Nelson, who scored seven points.
Riverton Parke's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Crawfordsville, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-17.
Riverton Parke won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Attica at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Crawfordsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monrovia at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
