Basketball Recap: Granger Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Granger had lost nine straight headed into Friday's contest, but Mason Biddulph didn't let it get to ten. The Granger Lancers breezed by the Providence Hall Patriots to the tune of 63-36 on Friday thanks in part to Biddulph, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Gukeisen, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Providence Hall's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryker Jones, who posted five points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mckai Turner, who put up 11 points.

Granger's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Providence Hall, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Granger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 81-39 loss against Woods Cross on the 10th. As for Providence Hall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-38 defeat against Union on the 7th.
