Cosby took an ego-bruising loss against South Greene two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Thursday. Cosby were gifted an easy win last Thursday as Concord Christian wound up forfeiting 0-2. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Meanwhile, Cumberland Gap got themselves on the board against Jellico, but Jellico never followed suit. Everything came up roses for Cumberland Gap against Jellico as the squad secured a 48-0 victory. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Cumberland Gap's flat performance the contest before.
Their wins bumped Cumberland Gap to 4-3 and Cosby to 2-5. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Cosby better be ready for a battle.
