If Loveland wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ursuline Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Kelsey Green. The Lions walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers on Saturday for which the team can thank Green, who had 19 digs and two aces. Green is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.
The victory didn't come easy: Loveland scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ursuline Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mackenzie Higgins, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Higgins has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Moine, who had 15 digs.
The win made it two in a row for Ursuline Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Loveland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ursuline Academy will take on Bellbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loveland, they will head out to square off against West Clermont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
