After a string of six wins, the Worcester Tech Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hopedale. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Worcester Tech has scored all season.
Patrick Madden was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points for Hopedale. The matchup was Madden's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mikey Rutkowski, who scored nine points.
Worcester Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Hopedale, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Worcester Tech and Francis Parker Charter Essential School will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Francis Parker Charter Essential School is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Hopedale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blackstone-Millville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Blackstone-Millville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
