The Miramonte Matadors will take on the De Anza Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Miramonte earned a 5-1 win over Head-Royce. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Matadors.

Abby Warren spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Miramonte saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Daoust, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another was Julia Quinn-Ferguson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, De Anza made sure to put some runs up on the board against St. Patrick-St. Vincent on Tuesday. Everything went De Anza's way against St. Patrick-St. Vincent as De Anza made off with a 23-4 victory.
Mya Arroyo and Ma'Yhana Moore made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Arroyo tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Moore pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). At the plate, Arroyo scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Moore scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riana Everetts, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrianna Garcia, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
De Anza always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .773. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Patrick-St. Vincent only posted an OBP of .375.
The win got De Anza back to even at 1-1. As for Miramonte, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Miramonte beat De Anza 8-5 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Miramonte have another victory up their sleeve, or will De Anza turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
