Chesapeake had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the North County Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chesapeake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-21, 25-15, 25-22.

Gillian Price paced Chesapeake's offense, picking up ten kills. Price got some help from Morgan Burr and her 16 assists. Price also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emily Strevig, racking up six apiece.
