Wakeland was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They secured a 14-10 W over the Reedy Lions. The win was just business as usual for the Wolverines, who after four games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Jayden Maples, who threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards. A healthy portion of Maples' aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Lucas Mangham.
Wakeland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grayson Myer and Preston Lowery.
Wakeland's record now sits at 4-0. As for Reedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
