Make it nine blowout wins for the Clover Blue Eagles this season. Everything went their way against Nation Ford on Friday as Clover made off with a 54-33 victory. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Clover as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcia Watt, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Brooke Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Clover's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Nation Ford, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clover will take on Spring Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Spring Valley is ranked 44th, while Clover is ranked 57th). As for Nation Ford, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blythewood at 6:15 p.m.
