The Petersburg Buffaloes are taking a road trip to  take on the Memphis Cyclones  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Petersburg knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Memphis likes a good challenge.

 KENLEE VAUGHN was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  RBI (three).  C Montez was another key player,  scoring four  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Petersburg  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .692. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile, Memphis lost  15-5 to Lockney on Tuesday.
 Petersburg's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-9. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Memphis, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
 Petersburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Memphis in their previous matchup  back in February of 2024, sneaking past  9-7. Will the Buffaloes repeat their success,  or do  the Cyclones have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
