Southwest Onslow has gone 8-2 against Northside - Jacksonville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. It'll be Northside v. Southside when Southwest Onslow and Northside - Jacksonville meet at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Southwest Onslow and 26 for Northside - Jacksonville dating back to last season.

Things were looking good for Southwest Onslow after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 12-3 to Wallace-Rose Hill.

Whitney Grissett was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, Skylar Phillips was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Lilian Paradysz also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Northside - Jacksonville fell victim to Heide Trask and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 15-0.

Southwest Onslow's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went Southwest Onslow's way against Northside - Jacksonville when the teams last played on March 6th, as Southwest Onslow made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwest Onslow since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
