As a matter of fact, Lake Braddock put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They never let Woodson get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Mac Verdejo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Lake Braddock got a massive performance out of Radha Samuel, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5. Those four runs gave Samuel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Forde, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Lake Braddock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Alexandria City didn't have quite enough to beat West Potomac on Friday and fell 18-16. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (13), the Titans still had to take the loss.
Paula Nunez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Tuttle, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Alexandria City's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lake Braddock, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Lake Braddock's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. Lake Braddock has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Alexandria City, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lake Braddock continue to outrun the ball?
Lake Braddock took their victory against Alexandria City in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Lake Braddock repeat their success, or does Alexandria City has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
