Forman is 0-10 against Harvey since April of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Lions will face off against the Cavaliers at 4:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Forman took on Storm King last Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 19-1 win.
Tyler Tegnelia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Tegnelia was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Forman got a massive performance out of Leo Carbonell, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jack Adams, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Harvey, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They never let Wooster get on the board and left with a 20-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won three in a row.
Jack Amann looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Dominick Bonserio and Jake Acosta did most of the damage at the plate: Bonserio went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI, while Acosta fired off two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles while going 4-for-5. Ben Shaw was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Harvey's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Forman, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Forman couldn't quite get it done against Harvey in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
