Lake Mead Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Basic Wolves, falling 44-22. On the bright side, the 22- point effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the defeat, Lake Mead Christian Academy had strong showings from Davina Fernandez-Guillen, who posted 12 points, and Gia Salazar, who scored ten points.

As for Basic, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 21 points thus far.
