Silverado will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Valencia at 3:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
It was all tied up at halftime, but Silverado wasn't quite Serrano's equal in the second half when they met last Thursday. Silverado lost to Serrano by a decisive 0-20 margin.
Last week, Valencia couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 8-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Notre Dame (SO).
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
