Narrows had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bland County Bears a 10-0 shutout. The Green Waves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

Narrows' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bland County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
