Queensbury is 10-0 against the Patriots since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Queensbury Spartans will face off against the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Queensbury comes in on 14 and the Patriots on six.
In what's become a running theme this season, Queensbury gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 56-22 victory over Schuylerville at home. 56 seems to be a good number for Queensbury as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Queensbury's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dyllan Ray, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Ray is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shea Canavan, who scored eight points along with 12 assists and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Broadalbin-Perth strolled past the Rams with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 46-28. Given Broadalbin-Perth's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Rams are ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Queensbury's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Queensbury strolled past the Patriots when the teams last played back in January by a score of 62-48. Does Queensbury have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
