The Tygarts Valley Bulldogs lost against the South Harrison Hawks back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Tygarts Valley took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tygarts Valley in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost six in a row.
Tygarts Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaden Moore, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Malachi Somers who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Somers is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Mcgee, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Tygarts Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for South Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.
Tygarts Valley will head out on the road to square off against the Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for South Harrison, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m.
