Last Friday, Briarwood Academy took their game at home with ease, bagging a 44-16 win over Glascock County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.
Briarwood Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Mason Poss, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and Cutler Fleming, who threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes. Poss got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible54 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Mosley, who rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Briarwood Academy was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 454 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell to Central Fellowship Christian Academy 24-20.
Briarwood Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Andrew's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
