The Lakeside School Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 41-34 to Southern Academy.
Despite the loss, Lakeside School had strong showings from Chloe Helms, who scored 16 points, and Sophie Seaborn, who scored 11 points. Helms scored a full 47.1% of Lakeside School's points, the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Madeline Chapman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southern Academy, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Chapman is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Abby Sluder, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Lakeside School bumped their record down to 5-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Southern Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
