The Norfolk Panthers will challenge Thurston-Cuming County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It was a proper cat-fight when Norfolk challenged Fremont on Monday. The Panthers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Maddox Magnussen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Norfolk is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-12 otherwise. Magnussen was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Lanman, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Landon Viergutz was another key player, earning two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Thurston-Cuming County made easy work of Bryan on Thursday and carried off a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for Thurston-Cuming County, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Trevor Trimble was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Linkous, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Norfolk's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Thurston-Cuming County, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
