Softball Recap: Caesar Rodney's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Caesar Rodney had lost eight games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-11 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Delmarva Christian Royals. The Riders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5th (when they won 13-3).

As for Delmarva Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Delmarva Christian's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Lowe, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Coming up, Caesar Rodney will face off against Odessa at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Delmarva Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Dover at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Senators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.13 runs per game on average), something the Royals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
