Chillicothe is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-17 victory over Hillsboro. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Cavaliers with their most commanding win of the season.
Cartae Ligon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 256 yards and three scores while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Karter Williams, who picked up 59 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chillicothe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, McClain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Miami Trace, falling 41-20. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.
Chillicothe's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points over those games. As for McClain, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Chillicothe against McClain when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-7 win. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
