Baseball Recap: Green Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Green owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They put the hurt on the Eastern Eagles with a sharp 9-0 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by nine runs or more this season.

Landon Kimbler was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Conner Blanton was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Green's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Eastern, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Green will be playing at home against St. Joseph Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flyers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to take on Symmes Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
