South Sevier is a perfect 7-0 against Millard since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams will square off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Sevier has four straight victories, Millard has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
South Sevier hadn't beaten Richfield on the road since March 24, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Rams put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-2 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Ryker Freeman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Stockton Roberts looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Kameron Hessey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Peyton Ingram, who went 4-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
South Sevier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richfield only posted an OBP of .281.
Millard might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-2 to Delta, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
South Sevier's record is now 17-5. As for Millard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.
South Sevier's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Millard, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will South Sevier continue to outrun the ball?
South Sevier took their victory against Millard when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
