The Irvine Vaqueros were the 56-47 winner over the Beckman Patriots when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Irvine fell 59-48 to the Patriots on Wednesday. Irvine has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Irvine still got an impressive performance from Cooper Stearns, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Taewon Kim was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Beckman, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.
Irvine will play host again and welcome the Hawks, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laguna Hills has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. As for Beckman, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
