Quince Orchard has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Quince Orchard got the win against the Trojans by a conclusive 52-27. The victory was just what Quince Orchard needed coming off of a 60-40 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Seneca Valley can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northwest 71-16 on the road. Given Seneca Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Jaguars are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Seneca Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Danika Barnes out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Barnes continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Addison, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
The victory got Quince Orchard back to even at 9-9. As for Seneca Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Quince Orchard took a serious blow against the Screamin' Eagles in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 72-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Addison, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals.
