Palmer never let Harrison on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-16.
Leading Palmer to victory were Taytum Soppe-Cope and Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall. Soppe-Cope had 11 digs and seven aces, while Gemmeke-Hall had six digs and five aces. That's the most aces Soppe-Cope has posted since back in August. Evelyn Sheridan also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Palmer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive matchups.
Palmer's record is now 10-5. As for Harrison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
