Carroll's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily George, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. The match was George's third in a row with at least ten points. Ava Myers was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Carroll has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 2-6 record. As for DeKalb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will face off against Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for DeKalb, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bellmont will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
