Grayson County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge Muhlenberg County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Muhlenberg County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Grayson County, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Grayson County blew past Trinity, posting a 59-31 victory at home. Given Grayson County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Trinity is ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Muhlenberg County took a serious blow against Meade County on Friday, falling 70-40.
Grayson County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Muhlenberg County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.
Grayson County ended up a good deal behind Muhlenberg County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, losing 52-37. Can Grayson County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
