Palmer Trinity has struggled against Miami Country Day recently, as their contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Palmer Trinity lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jade Leon. Despite the final result, she scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds. Leon scored a full 30.8% of Palmer Trinity's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynne Sullivan, who scored 6 points.
Palmer Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Miami Country Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Palmer Trinity will head out on the road to face off against Gulliver Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gulliver Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Miami Country Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against NSU University at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
