The Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals will challenge the Campbell County Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eagleton College & Career Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Pigeon Forge by a score of 5-1.

Jayce Simon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Eagleton College & Career Academy is 5-1 when Simon allows one or fewer earned runs, but 8-10-1 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Charlie Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Nathan Clemmer, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Campbell County never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Apostolic Christian Academy on Tuesday. They blew past the Flames 15-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cougars' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Rylan Rice made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Rice was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cooper McQuitty was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Eli Lawson was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Campbell County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .703. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apostolic Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .412.
Campbell County's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-18. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-11-1.
