Softball Recap: Academy of Our Lady of Peace Wins Going Away Against Scripps Ranch

Academy of Our Lady of Peace won the last time they faced Scripps Ranch and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pilots were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pilots.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace got a great performance from Grace Paine as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Paine has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brooke Lemley was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maggie Baribault, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace's record now sits at 5-9. As for Scripps Ranch, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.

Coming up, Academy of Our Lady of Peace will host Patrick Henry at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Patriots have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Scripps Ranch, they will head out to square off against University City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
