South Walton couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 15-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freeport.
Meanwhile, Baker took care of business in their home opener. They snuck past Northview with a 20-14 win.
Baker's victory lifted them to 1-0 while South Walton's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Baker can add another positive mark to their record or if South Walton can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Baker's step.
