It was a good run, but Lewis County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 11-5 to the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats.

Lewis County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Whitlow, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another was Steele Moseley, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Lewis County now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Battle Ground Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis County will challenge Columbia Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Battle Ground Academy, they will take on Grace Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
