On Tuesday, the Germantown Mavericks faced the Starkville Yellowjackets in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Germantown walked away with  a   39-27  win over Starkville. The  win was familiar territory for Germantown who now have four in a row.
  Alana Rouser was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 13 points and 13  rebounds. Rouser is crushing the  rebound category: she's  posted at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.  Charlie Gamberine was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points.
 Germantown pushed their record up to 19-9 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. As for Starkville,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 22-5.
 Germantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Starkville also has no future games currently scheduled.
