The Paul W. Bryant Stampede lost against the Bessemer City Tigers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Paul W. Bryant was dealt a 41-12 defeat at the hands of Bessemer City. Paul W. Bryant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Paul W. Bryant's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Bessemer City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paul W. Bryant will challenge Demopolis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Demopolis will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Bessemer City will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spanish Fort at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Spanish Fort is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
