The Montgomery Tigers waltzed into Monday's matchup with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Simsboro 49-27.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montgomery to victory, but perhaps none more so than A Manson, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. The game was Manson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Z Gates was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Montgomery pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Simsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dodson at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. Dodson comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Simsboro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gibsland-Coleman at 6:00 p.m. on January 16, 2024.
