The Red Bud Musketeers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East Alton-Wood River 46-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Red Bud, who have now won five matches by 27 points or more so far this season.
Red Bud can attribute much of their success to Dylan Anthony oliver, who rushed for 24 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 90 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Baldwin was in the mix as well, providing Red Bud with two touchdowns.
Red Bud's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for East Alton-Wood River, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Red Bud will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chester at 7:00 p.m. East Alton-Wood River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
