On Friday Wahlert take on Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close game.
There's no need to mince words: Wahlert lost to Assumption last week, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-37.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the contest between Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland and Maquoketa was still a pretty decisive one as Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland wrapped it up with a 46-27 win.
Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Wahlert's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland can add another positive mark to their record or if Wahlert can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland's step.
