The Desert Hills Thunder won the last time they faced the Logan Grizzlies, and things went their way on Friday too. Desert Hills walked away with a 65-54 victory over Logan. The victory was all the more spectacular given Desert Hills' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Logan is ranked 16th).
Desert Hills was led to victory by Jackson Holman and Ben Chase. Holman scored 21 points, while Chase scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Holman's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Rasmussen, who scored five points.
Desert Hills pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
Desert Hills and Green Canyon will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Green Canyon will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
