Abraham Lincoln's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past String Theory 16-1. Considering the Railsplitters have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Joshua Hernandez-Mercedes made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Abraham Lincoln let Sebastian Perez and Wilbert Rodriguez run wild. Perez went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI, while Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
